I met Will Spellman around 2004 when I just finished high school. Will gave me the opportunity to follow my hopes to pursue music to have a chance to share it with my community. He recorded quality tracks and I met others at his studio that I collaborated with and featured those songs on 7 albums I released. Music not only let me express myself and built self esteem, it was therapy because of the accomplishments and good feelings I would get from making good music. It lead to opportunities to perform and be on the radio station. It led me to meet many other music artists, DJs, promoters, fans, and even models which I am still friends with until this day. Music is a great positive way to be social and be productive. You can even make a living off of it independently if things work out like that. Making music with Will Spellman created many great memories that led to more opportunities and more great memories and accomplishments that I never thought I would experience in my life. Thanks to William I was led to a path from practice in a real studio setting that helped me in a lot of ways on my journey!

Last year, my life changed forever. Our home in Oroville was shot up, leaving us terrified and heartbroken. In that horrific incident, my wife was shot in the heart, a trauma that would alter our lives in profound ways. The journey of healing has been long and challenging, but it has ignited an unwavering passion in me to support others facing similar adversity. It is this fiery resolve that inspires the mission behind NorthWestern Youth Academy of Media Arts, where we empower young minds to express themselves through creativity, transforming pain into art, and adversity into opportunity. Together, we believe in the power of storytelling and the healing that comes from it. As we work with the youth, we not only teach them the skills of the media arts but also instill resilience and hope—values that resonate deeply with our personal experiences. The academy stands as a beacon of hope, guiding aspiring creatives through their journeys, just as I navigate mine.
